Roda de Berà commemorates the 1st Carme Claramunt i Barot Historical Memory Week
Roda de Berà is preparing to host the first edition of the Carme Claramunt i Barot Historical Memory Week, an event dedicated to the recovery and dignification of the past. From September 21 to 26, 2026, the municipality will be the setting for an extensive program of activities that seek to remember and pay tribute to the victims of Franco's repression, with a special emphasis on the figure of Carme Claramunt i Barot.
This initiative, organized by the Associació Republicana Roda de Berà with the collaboration of the Roda de Berà City Council and various entities, will offer exhibitions, round tables, dramatized readings, film screenings, recognition galas, and tribute acts. All events are designed to foster reflection and dialogue on a crucial period of our history.
In addition, throughout the week, from September 21 to 26, the entrance of the Casino Municipal will host a small photo-installation created by the Associació de dones KOM-TU, an installation that invites visual reflection.
