Residents of Roda de Berà call for a demonstration against ADIF

Residents of Roda de Berà have called a demonstration for July 31st to confront ADIF. The mobilization, which will take place in Plaça Cantàbric at 11:00 AM, seeks to express citizen rejection of ADIF's actions regarding the acoustic barrier project.

According to the organizers, ADIF has "lied to the citizenry" by not lowering the heights or revising the acoustic barrier project, which they now intend to install along the entire Tarragona coast. Residents state they are "fed up with them usurping our territory" and demand "the right to protect our homes," making a clear reference to the phrase "WE DON'T WANT A HUGE WALL" which has been seen in various protest actions.

The demonstration is organized exclusively by the residents of Roda de Berà and does not have the support of any political party. A call is made for massive participation to show the unity and strength of the neighborhood in the face of this situation.
