Roda de Berà remembers its victims of Nazism with the documentary "Carretera a Gusen"

Roda de Berà is preparing for an emotional act of historical memory. Next Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Ateneu Rodenc invites citizens to a tribute dedicated to the residents of Roda deported to Nazi camps, at the Teatre del Casino Municipal. The central event will be the screening of the documentary "Carretera a Gusen", a work that follows Àlex Cirera's real journey to Mauthausen-Gusen, tracing the steps of his grandfather, tragically murdered in 1941. It is a moving story of family, broken silence, and recovered memory that seeks to keep the flame of remembrance alive. After the screening, a colloquium will be held with the protagonist himself, Àlex Cirera, offering a unique opportunity for reflection and dialogue. The event will conclude with a meeting space and a glass of cava, fostering camaraderie and collective remembrance. This initiative has the collaboration of Cineclub Roda de Berà, Associació Republicana Roda de Berà, Amical de Mauthausen i altres camps, and the Ajuntament de Roda de Berà. 🗓️ **Agenda:** 🔹 **Tribute to the two Roda residents victims of Nazism and screening of "Carretera a Gusen"** ⏰ 19:00 📍 Teatre del Casino Municipal, Roda de Berà 📝 Screening of the documentary "Carretera a Gusen", colloquium with protagonist Àlex Cirera, and a glass of cava.
